COVID-19 Dashboard

This Covid19 Dashboard will replicate the total covid infection details followed by the recovery, deaths, and vaccination status across the Indian subcontinent.

Covid-19 state-wise data including, total confirmed cases and active, recovery, death, and the vaccination status are being extracted from the government portals respectively, “https://mohfw.gov.in” and “www.cowin.gov.in.”

Land Suitability Analysis
(Weighted Overlay)

‘Spatial suitability analysis for IT Parks in the city of Bengaluru’ is an examination process of land to find the most suitable locations for IT Parks by considering those parameters which are affecting its locational aspects like land use, land cover, accessibility, connectivity, proximity to existing IT Parks, proximity to basic services, proximity to amenities and other facilities, environmental impact, the potential for future expansion, etc., and these parameters have sub-criteria under them.

Distance Analysis

This set of exercises aims at developing some experiential knowledge of ‘horizontal’ spatial analysis methods, in particular using the geometrical (as opposed to topological) relations of distance.

The city of Salzburg is taken as the study area for this task. The administrative boundary of Salzburg (shown in black dotted lines) and the layers of motorway, Streams, and kindergarten were added.

Network Analysis

This set of exercises aims at developing some experiential knowledge of ‘horizontal’ spatial analysis methods, in particular using the planar topological networks.
The city of Salzburg is taken as the study area for this task. The administrative boundary of Salzburg (shown in black dotted lines) and the layers of Salzburg, Streams, and kindergarten were added.

Spatial Interpolation

Spatial interpolation is the process of using points with known values to estimate values at other points.
In GIS applications, spatial interpolation is typically applied to a raster with estimates made for all cells. Spatial interpolation is therefore a means of creating surface data from sample points.

Terrain Analysis

Terrain Analysis is the analysis and interpretation of topographic
features through geographic information systems. Such features include
slope, aspect, viewshed, elevation, contour lines, flow, upslope
flowlines and dowslope flowlines. The intention is to build mathematical
abstraction of surface terrain in order to delineate or stratify
landscapes and create an understanding of relationships between
ecological processes and physical features.

ISRO’s Cartosat-3 data downloaded from the Bhuvan portal for the Dehradun
region (capital of the northern state of Uttarakhand in India). Hence
the data used for this analysis was 30m resolution, so the other DEM for
comparison was created of 90m resolution to fulfill the complete task.
